Can I Be Honest?

I had to roll up my sleeves for this one. Unapologetic. Indifferent. Weird. Relentless. Brash. You can use a Thesaurus to identify other synonyms that can best describe the guy being the computer screen typing vehemently on this Compaq keyboard (Don't get it effed up, I'm a MAC User all day every day but a PC is all they have here). After this weekend, I grew tired but not in the "exhausted" sense but in the "I'm tired of this" way ya dig? Let me break it down like wheat chex: This past weekend I rolled out with my people to a club near Penn's Landing here in Philly and to keep it all the way one hundred, my expectations weren't high at all. You see, I like clubs with mixed crowds and this club attracts the typical "hood" crowd (One chick was running around in there who had to be 4 to 5 months pregnant...foulness). To be honest, I don't appeal to females in there. And before you say, "Oh it must be something about you" I associate with dudes who are just like me (college educated, intelligent, career driven, fresh to def, etc.) and we all face the same thing. The women in there go after a certain type of individual, the dude who looks like he's "shinin'" but has nothing to offer. Just try an approach some of these women who are as beautiful as the golden arches to a kid in fat camp and you will get SHUT DOWN!

So What Do I Do?

I said eff it. As the years progress and as my time gets even more limited due to handling business on and off the clock, that "going out to the club" phenomena is looking lackluster. I don't really drink, I don't like cramped spots, and a lot of these dudes in the club are cornballs. I got homies who like to be seen on the scene but at the end of the day, that serves no purpose for me at this point. I mean, if it's for networking, then Boom! I'm in there like swimwear but all this standing around playing the fancy clown for nothing?! Nah man, I'm not the one. I'm better off making these upcoming weekends blockbuster nights and playing Nintendo.

This happens everywhere IMO.

The days of going to the club just to have fun, sip on something and dance have long gone.

Now everyone wants to stand around and try to front like they're the local Jay-Z or Angel Lola Luv.

Hova said it best..."We don't believe you. You need more people."

Mikey... where have you been all my life. Sorry that I'm never on AIM but hey, duty calls.
