Rap In The 90's: I.N.I "Fakin' Jax"

This morning while I was ironing my clothes for the day, I had a flashback to an associate of mines who I no longer keep in touch with. To be honest, there were signs of him dripping whack juice but since he was fam, I let it ride. But little by little, those aforementioned signs started to make themselves known until the disloyalty became as blatant as a Diddy billboard in Times Square. In college, I was fortunate to a have a few good friends and unfortunate to have many a snake slither into my inner circle. But this dude in particular, was "Fakin' Jax" for unnecessary reasons. He went around telling people that he had a million dollar contract with Def Jam (I heard him rap and NAH!) When it comes to people I associate with, I don't judge but when you try to front on me, somebody who helped you out when your pockets were on rabbit ears status, I take that as the ultimate disrespect especially when it involves women (Another session of McFly's Love Below)
Katt Williams said it best when he said that it was too many cornballs saturating the game, and the real dudes can hardly exist. That's why I have like 4-5 good friends due to the overwhelming "bitchassness" that a few of my associates exhibited. I learned that when your shining (I don't mean with the diamonds and chains) people naturally gravitate towards you. Some people are happy for you and your achievements and others.... they'd rather see you struggle to equate their pain. It's not right but that's how ruthless the game has become. No matter how vicious the "hate" becomes, I know that having an iron chin is way better than a glass jaw. Let it be known, these days I pull cards quicker than a magic trick.
