Big O Interview

I remember working with Big O in a well known retail store back in 2006. Even though I only lasted (by choice) for 3 months, I knew I had a friend for life and I'm honored to have the distinct pleasure of interviewing a mogul in the making. Ladies and gents, I present BIG O


For all those who are unfamiliar with you and your organization, give the people an introduction?

We are a company that's on the move. We have web design, hip hop artist, producers, videographers , graphic artist, every thing from a steam boat to a billy goat we got it, and if we don't THEN it's a our finger tips to get.

What is the story behind Beat Garden and what legacy do you hope for it to have in hip-hop?

There's no super extra math test science SUN MOON AND STARS type story behind it. Like we all was on a plane that crashed and we were the last three alive or no stuff like that.lol. Beat Garden Entertainment was started in founded in 2006 by three bored cats myself and my two friend Steve "Zilla Rocca" Zales and Dom "Nico the Beast" Zarella . And we wanna be known as a company that made that feel good music. We aint into doin what everybody else is doin ,we do what OUR hearts feel. Not what the radio AND TV think cats should BE DOIN.



Let's get down to business, what separates Beat Garden Entertainment from the rest of the independent contenders?

Just that, we are INDEPENDENT. Look cuz aint nobody gonna give you anything. Maaan , you had to work to get free cheese. lol. you stood out there in that hot line to get what you wanted. And that's what we do, go get it. We have been our own publicist ,we are our own street team, we are our web designer, hip hop artist, producers, videographers , graphic artist. We work for this ourselves, because this is our dream. I don't care how much you pay someone to do it for you , nobody is gonna give their all for YOUR dream ,like you will.

Who are some of your inspirations? What motivates Big O?

First off God, I'm a husband and a father , so I'm most def motivated by my wife April and my son Nysir. Just see smiles on their faces make me work harder, my B.G.E. Team. and alot of cats don't like'em but, 50 cent. Dude is a genius when it comes to being an all around business man.

Can Beat Garden artists change the game and why?

Hell yeah.lol. why wouldn't i.lol. I think if we get the chances we are working hard to get, we will bring back the true hip hop. Not the "I got 9 bricks coming cross the border", "I got 99 goonie goons to kill you" , " my car got 19,869 inCH rims" and all that bull. I'm mean the

Why is Hip-Hop in a state of emergency?

Because of radio. all they play is dat bubble gum rap crap. snappin, yooooooouin, leanin and rockin crap. I blame the radio, video shows, and myspace.

How hard do you hustle?

Lol. How hard? Look fam, I work as a supervisor in retail during the day, got a wife and kid, I love to go out.. and I move and shake for my company (no Lil Richard) .so you can just imagine .



What future projects do you have on the horizon?

On June 12th at the Trocadero in philly with Nico the Beast

On June 27th I'm hostin a show at the Khyber in philly headlined by Sean Price

On July 10th at the Knitting Factory in New York with nico the beast
